| SUBJECT: IMPROVED HAND WHEEL PARTS | |
To prevent parts breakage in the disengaging hand wheel area, the ball plunger has been enlarged. The following parts have already been installed from SN: 66579 and up.

The ball plunger should first be screwed into the block by hand. Then place the lead ball into the locking set screw hole. Next thread the set screw into its hole, but do NOT tighten. Mount the block and adjust the ball plunger to just contact either groove in the collar. Turn the ball plunger 1/8" to 1/4", but no more. This should hold the hand wheel in place yet let it travel in both directions. Finally, tighten the set screw to lock in the ball plunger.
